A slight flight delay had Children for Peace host families anxious as they waited for their guest teens to arrive, but soon the plane was at the gate and the kids from Belfast and Derry/Londonderry began spilling through the arrivals lounge and out to the crowd of Americans who had waited so long to meet them.
After getting the baggage sorted out, everyone headed for McBride's Irish Pub, where the outside deck was reserved for them. Though travelling since 3:00 a.m., the kids had plenty of energy to put down some good American food and start getting to know the folks they would be staying with for the next two weeks.
