The program's ninth year saw a growing and evolving organization - both on the American side and the Belfast side.

An increasingly comprehensive preparatory process on the Belfast end helped the kids get ready for their time in America, and an expanding base of host families provided yet a wider range of experiences for the Belfast teens and American teens alike.
